A new electric hydrofoil surfboard has been launched via Kickstarter this week from an unknown company based in Los Angeles California. The Wavigator has been created to provide a remote control board that is capable of speeds up to 20 mph. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more.
“It all starts with a highly-engineered foil that slices through water and gives you lift. While flying above water, you can feel the power of the brushless motor pushing you with up to 10kg of force, translating to up to 20mph of cruising speed. For up to an hour of battery life, you have the freedom to glide through any type of weather.”
Earlybird pledges are available from $6,999 or roughly £5,493 and worldwide shipping is expected to commence in just a couple of months time during September 2019. Offering such a small delivery window it seems that the Wavigator has already been test manufactured and is looking for early sales to help bolster production and help develop the electric hydrofoil surfboard further. “Whether you are a professional surfer or an amateur enthusiast looking for more fun, Wavigator can help you achieve total agility and discover new excitements.”
