VLC is one of the most popular video apps and now it is available on the new fourth generation Apple TV.
The team behind VLC for the Apple TV have announced that the app is a full port of VLC and it comes with all of the features of the iOS and desktop app as well as some new features for the Apple TV.
The app will automatically find videos that are stored on storage connected to your network, this is done using the SMB, UPnP media server, FTP and PLEX protocols.
It also comes with subtitle support from OpenSubtitles.org and there is also a Remote Playback feature which allows you to drop files onto Apple’s set top box.
The app also synchronizes with your iPhone or iPad version of the app, if you have been playing a URL on your iPhone or iPad, you can continue from where you left off on the Apple TV.
