Smart TV manufacturer Vizio has today announced the rollout of a new update to its SmartCast TV systems with the introduction of new Amazon Alexa support, thanks to the introduction of a new Alexa skill which can be downloaded directly from the Amazon Alexa application store. The new Vizio SmartCast Alexa Skill is supported by 2017 and 2016 SmartCast P-, M- and E-Series 4K TVs enabling owners to now easily control volume, channel and input settings, as well as turn their Vizio hardware on and off using voice commands. Vizio will also be making the SmartCast Alexa skill available to owners of the latest 2018 Vizio SmartCast Full HD and HD TVs in the next few weeks.
The new Vizio SmartCast Alexa skill is supported by Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap, Echo Show and other .
