VIA is well known for making small form factor computers and mainboards. The company has unveiled its latest small form factor board called the APC Android PC system. The machine is designed to run the Android operating system is built on a tiny Neo-ITX board.
The best feature the system is a miniscule price of $49. For that price you get the mainboard running a VIA WonderMedia ARM 11 SoC at 800 MHz. The system supports 720p HD video with hardware acceleration. It also has integrated 2 GB of flash storage.
The machine also has 512 MB of integrated DDR3 SDRAM and a microSD card slot on the back panel for storage expansion. The board gets power from an internal 12 V 4 pin adapter or an external 12 V power source. It has VGA out, HDMI out, four USB 2.0 ports, audio outputs, and Ethernet.
