Verizon Wireless has started taking pre-orders on the Samsung Galaxy S5, the handset is available for $199.99 when you take out a new two year contract with the carrier.
Verizon is offering a buy one get one free offer on the Samsung Galaxy S5, so if you buy the handset for $199.99, you can choose another smartphone for free.
The list of devices that are free include the Samsung Galaxy S5, so you basically get two for the price of one, or you can choose the new HTC One M8 or the Samsung ATIV SE as your second device.
The handset comes with some impressive specifications, which include a 5.1 inch display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Powering the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a quad core Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock speed of 2.5GHz, the device also comes with 2GB of RAM and a choice of 16GB or 32GB of built in storage.
Should you need more storage, the Galaxy S5 has a microSD card slot that supports the latest 128GB microSD cards, plus front and rear facing cameras.
Up front we have a 2 megapixel camera for video calls, on the back there is a 16 megapixel camera for photos and video, the Galaxy S5 comes with Android 4.4 Kit Kat and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
