Code and files discovered by the Valvetime.net website within Valve’s new Source Filmmaker software, could be part of a new Source Games Engine which is being developed by Valve, and referred to as Source 2.
If you are part of the Valve Source Filmmaker beta testers and have a copy of the code on your system you can check for yourself, and find code labelled “Source 2”.
The Legacy of the Original Source Engine
The original Source game engine developed by Valve was first released back in 2004 and has since then powered awesome games such as Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source, and has been tweaked over the years.
