A new iOS application has been released called Ultrakam, which has been created to provide iOS users with a next-generation professional production suite on their Apple smartphone or tablet.
The Ultrakam iOS app enables users to record 2K film resolution video in their iPhone 5 with nearly uncompressed quality. Check out the promotional video after the jump to learn more.
When the Ultrakam iOS app is set to the highest setting of H.264, one minute of 2K iFrame video will take up to 3GB of memory on your device. These means 24 full frames per second at 2240×1672 resolution, or 70% more pixels than HD. Its creators explain :
