If you have been patiently waiting for the launch of the new Toshiba will be pleased to learn that the new Toshiba L9300U 4K television range is now available in the US and provides competition for the already launched Samsung, Sony and LG Ultra HD televisions which are also now available to purchase within the United States.
Toshiba’s new Ultra HDTV takes pride of place as the flagship of the companies television range and comes fully loaded with all the latest technology Toshiba can muster.
Including a ClearScan 240Hz refresh rate, Toshiba’s proprietary Cevo Quad + Dual Core Engine, multiple levels of color restoration and enhancement software. Together with a wealth of multimedia features including personal messaging, support for Microsoft’s Skype communications service, as well as support for both Wi-Fi and Wi-Di peer-to-peer wireless connections.
Toshiba is also expect to roll out a new L9300U’s 4K firmware update in December that will bring with it support for the new HDMI 2.0 standard which will allow 60 frames per second display of 4K content.
Toshiba’s L9300U range includes 58-inch, 65-inch, and 84-inch models priced at $4000, $5,500, and $17,000 respectively. Scott Ramirez, vice president of product marketing and development, Visual Products, Toshiba America Information Systems, Digital Products Division explains:
“While the content creators work to create more 4K content and figure out how to distribute it, consumers can still enjoy the clearer, more natural and lifelike images on a 4K Ultra HD TV,”-”This year, consumers can enjoy Blu-ray Discs with near 4K resolution thanks to powerful upscaling technology; however when choosing a brand, they should choose one that has high-quality processing and proven engineering skill to optimize the 4K experience right, like Toshiba.”
