Toshiba has added a new e-Reader to its range this week with the launch of the new Toshiba BookPlace Mono, making it the second e-Reader Toshiba has created and launched.
The Toshiba BookPlace Mono if fitted with a 6″ HD E-ink screen sporting a resolution of 1024×758 pixels, and 4GB of on board storage for books and documents.
The Toshiba BookPlace Mono is also equipped with a touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity, together with a microSD card slot for memory expansion and an internal speaker and 3.5 headphone jack.
The Toshiba BookPlace Mono will start shipping on April 16th in Japan and will be available to purchase for 13,900 yen roughly $145, and offers a text to speech feature which will be based on Toshiba’s proprietary Speech Synthesis technology.
