During this years Game Awards 2015, the Witcher 3 game has won the award for the overall Game of the Year 2015 and was announced winner during last nights award ceremony during which The Witcher 3 game beats other titles such as Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V, and Super Mario MakerTo win the coveted Game of the Year 2015 award.
The Witcher 3 was developed by CD Projekt Red over three years and as one a wealth of different awards and rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Other winners at this year’s Game of the Year awards include Rocket League for best independent game, Lara Croft Go for best handheld/mobile game and Her Story for best narrative to name a few.
The Witcher 3 in total won three awards including best role-playing game, and CD Projekt Red won developer of the year as well, quite a hat-trick. Check out the video below to see the announcement being made.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt game is more than 30 times larger than previous Witcher games and requires players to sail by boat to some locations and ride on horseback to others. However, fast traveling around the areas of known locations is also possible and the game has been described as “20 percent bigger than Skyrim” which offered a massive world to explore in its self.
