Tesla has announce that it is recalling 2,700 Tesla Model X cars due to an issue with the seats in the vehicle.
According to Tesla Model X cars which were produced before the 26th of March have an issue relating to the third row seats.
Until the recall is performed, you may make full use of your Model X, although we ask that you temporarily not have anyone sit in the third row seats while the car is in use. We recognize that not having the use of your third row seats for the next few weeks will be an inconvenience, but your safety is our primary concern. We assure you that we are building your new seat backs as fast as we can.
The seats could possibly fold over in the event of a crash, this was recently spotted before the first European deliveries of the car.
The company’s third row seat is made by one of their suppliers who will apparently be picking up the cost of the issue, so this will not affect the company’s earnings.
