Jon Atherton has unveiled a new Bluetooth weather station he has created called the Stormtag that comes complete with a smartphone companion application and is capable of measuring both temperature and barometric pressure within your local environment to provide you with an accurate weather forecast for the surrounding area.
The Stormtag companion application can be loaded onto your smartphone or tablet and has been designed to send your data back for crowd source weather data analysis helping other using the Stormtag build a bigger picture of the global weather systems.
The Stromtag project is just about to start a two-year worldwide project to build and enhance the crowd sourced weather system that is currently under development. for more information about the system and the companion Android and iOS applications watch the video below.
