Sony has shown off a new prototype lexible electronic paper display in Japan, and unlike previous e-paper displays we have seen that use glass substrate, this new one from Sony uses platsic substrate.
By using plastic substrate, the electronic paper display is much lighter and is a lot more flexible, plus it is stronger and harder to break, even when they are dropped.
Sony has yet to release any details on when we will see this new flexible electronic paper display in any of their products, it is obviously still in the early prototype stages at the moment.
