We know that Sony is working on new Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact smartphones, these devices will be announced at IFA next month, and now we have some information on a new tablet from Sony, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
As yet we do not have any specifications on the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, but we suspect there will also be another version of the device, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet, which will be the replacement for the Xperia Z2 Tablet.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with a 10.1 inch display, and we suspect the smaller version of the tablet will be competing with the iPad Mini, so we would expect the device to come with either a 7 inch or 8 inch display.
Some rumored specifications for the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact include an 8 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the device is also said to feature a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM.
We suspect the larger Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet will have a similar 10 inch display to the existing model, and similar specifications in terms of processor and RAM to the compact device.
Sony are holding their IFA press conference on the 3rd of September and we are expecting to see these new Xperia tablets along with the new Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact smartphones.
