Sony Xperia Z2 has seen its fair share of delays since the announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. The device is now available for sale in Europe, but it seems more regions are expected to get it in the coming days.
According to a new event, Sony is to hold a press event on May 8th where the company will launch its latest flagship device, the Xperia Z2, in India.
The news came from Economic Times, citing sources aware of the company’s plans, that Sony’s press event will take place on May 8th. Sony India has already sent out press invites to the media regarding the event as well.
Sony Xperia Z2 comes with a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz with 3GB of RAM.
On the rear, it comes with a 20.7 megapixel camera which is also capable of recording 4K videos, as well as a 2.2MP front-facing camera. Other features include 16GB storage with a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3,200 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system.
