There have been rumors over the last few days that the launch of the new Sony Xperia Z2 could possibly be delayed, Sony has now confirmed that the handset will launch in April as planned.
Yesterday we heard that Sony had stopped taking pre-orders of the Sony Xperia Z2 on their website, this is apparently due to limited stock of the device and not a delay, you can see a statement from Sony below.
“We’re seeing particularly strong demand for Xperia Z2 across all of our distribution channels. As with all of our product launches, global rollout is phased across markets and channels. Consumers will be able to get Xperia Z2 in the UK starting from April.”
So its looks like demand for the Sony Xperia Z2 will be high at launch, and it could be a while before some people can get their hands on the device.
Sony has not actually said that their will be limited stock of the Sony Xperia Z2 at launch, but everything seems to indicate that there will not be enough stock to meet the demand for the device at launch.
