Sony announced their new flagship Android smartphone at this years CES, the Sony Xperia Z, the handset recently went on sale in Japan and is scheduled to launch in the UK later this month.
Now Sony have released the kernel source code for the Xperia Z, and developers can now download the source code from Sony, this is before the handset has launched worldwide.
The Sony Xperia Z features a quad core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM, there is also a 5 inch full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
Other specifications on the Sony Xperia Z include a 13 megapixel camera, and 4G LTE, the device is also resistant to dust and water and also features NFC.
