Back in December Sony announced that it would be launching the PlayStation 4 in China on the 11th of January and now it looks like the launch of the console has been delayed.
Sony has delayed the launch of the PlayStation 4 China launch due to ‘various factors’, although the company has not specified exactly what those factors are.
According to a recent report by Reuters, the PlayStation 4 China launch has been delayed due to prolonged negotiations with the Chinese authorities.
China is the worlds largest gaming market, and both Microsoft and Sony are looking to get a share of the revenue, which was $15 billion last year.
Sony has applied to launch 30 games in China with their PlayStation 4, each of the games requires a license from the authorities before they can be sold in the country.
As yet it is now clear on exactly how long the launch of the PlayStation 4 will be in China, as soon as we get some more details on a revised launch date, we will let you know.
