Sony has this week announced that their next-generation PlayStation 4 games console and finally their PS Vita portable handheld game system will be launching in China next month, on January 11th 2015.
When the PS4 finally arrives in China it will be priced at $468 or 2,899 RMB and the PS Vita at $210 or 1,299 RMB and both games consoles will be available in black and white variants.
The reason why Sony has not been selling their consoles in the past throughout China is due to the Chinese Government banning foreign game consoles 14 years ago, until next month when the ban lifts.
To accompany the launch of the historic PlayStation 4 launch in China Sony’s SCE Worldwide Studios, together with over 70 game developers and publishers are expected to launch games available in China.
To re-cap the Sony PlayStation 4 console is equipped with 8-cores of AMD Jaguar processing power supported by 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and next generation AMD Radeon graphics.
Other PS4 features include a 500GB storage drive, together with 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and 1 x AUX port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and HDMI port. The PlayStation 4 specs for the camera include a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 together with (x2) pixel capture at 60fps.
