Sony recently unveiled the Sony NGP, or Next Generation portable, and whilst they announced all the specifications unfortunately they didn’t reveal any details on pricing.
We have heard previously that the Sony NGP would retail for $299, and now there are rumors that it will retail somewhere between $299 and $349, with the WiFi only version reported to cost $299 and the WiFi and 3G version reported to cost $349.
Whilst the pricing does seem to be just speculation at the moment, we suspect that it wont be far off this when Sony announces the official pricing, and with the Nintendo 3DS retailing for $249 Sony will need to keep the price similar to this.
The Sony NGP features a quad core Cortex-A9 processor and quad core PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU, there is also a 5 inch OLED display, dual analog sticks, and a rear touchpad plus the tilt sensitive SIXAXIS controls.
