It looks like Sony and Nintendo are going to be competing again for gamers cash, and Sony’s SCEA president Jack Tretton has hinted that the Sony NGP will feature a better battery life than the new Nintendo 3DS.
This could mean between 4.5 to 7 hours of battery uses, which seems pretty good considering the large 5 inch OLED display, and the processing power it comes with.
He also mentioned that gamers will probably have to pay more for the Sony NGP than the Nintendo 3DS, although no actual pricing has been revealed as yet, he said “I think if the quality’s there, then the people will find a way to buy it, within reason,”.
It will be interesting to see how Sony prices the new NGP handheld console, with the Nintendo 3DS retailing at $249 I suspect the Sony NGP many end up costing $299 or more.
