4K TV is basically four times the resolution of the current standard full High Definition, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, where as 4K TV has a resolution of 3,896 by 2,640 pixels.
prices for 4K TVs are still pretty high, and it will be a couple of years before we see the prices drop down the the same as current full HD TV prices.
