Photographers searching for a convenient way to transport and control a professional camera slider, may be interested in a new smartphone application control slider created by Kevin Kei Tuncer based in Germany. The aptly named AppSlider can be used with conventional DSLR cameras as well as, smartphones and action cameras such as the popular GoPro.
Designed to provide professional photographers with a robust and easy-to-use electric slider which can be controlled via USB or Bluetooth connectivity for rapid or slow incremental movements. The AppSlider then easily be attached to tripods with the support of 1/4″ and 3/8″ threads on both ends and the central slider element. Features of the camera slider include a linear guide that is 1 m in length and can move a camera over a distance of 885 mm, fitted with a professional Camera-Ball-Head with Quick-Release-Plate cameras can be swapped easily and the companion smartphone application is available for iOS, Android and Windows PCs.
