The Intellecy Smart Water Meter with Leak Protection is a smart home product that will help you manage your water and protect your home from leaks. It continually checks your whole home’s plumbing for leaks whether small or a complete pipe break. When a leak is detected, you’ll be notified on your smartphone app, text, email and on the panel.
With the Intellecy Meter you can set water conservation goals and check on your water-saving progress as often and as frequent as you like. Keep an eye on your water in realtime to manage your water use so you can save water and lower your water bill.
How it works? Water flowing in a pipe creates turbulence as the water bangs against the pipe, the pipe elbows and any non-smooth parts of the pipe.
Additional turbulence is created when water is squeezing though a faucet, a fixture or a pipe break.
Our sensor is constantly “listening” for this. By placing the sensor on the main water pipe, it will detect the flow of water for the entire home. Once our system learns what normal water flow is, it can track your water use. In addition, when a new signal is detected or a known signal runs for an abnormally long amount of time, it is identified as a potential leak.
