We have already seen the Samsung Frame TVs which are designed to look like pictures or paintings and now Samsung is bringing a similar feature to its new QLED TVs with a new Ambient Mode.
The Ambient Mode on the latest QLED TVs will bring a range of world renowned artworks to the TVs when the display is turned off, it can also show other things like weather updates, photos and more.
Samsung Electronics announced today that its 2019 QLED TV lineup will offer a brand new Ambient Mode that is designed to display various content including world-renowned works of art, even when the TV screen is turned off. Through the Ambient Mode, a variety of content like daily news headlines, weather updates, photos and music can be accessed from the TV screen. In addition, Samsung collaborated with renowned artists such as Tali Lennox and Scholten & Baijings to display their unique artworks on the QLED TV using the Ambient Mode.
“We are proud to offer the Ambient Mode, which not only adds new value to the TV screen when it is turned off, but also brings new lifestyle benefits to our customers, moving beyond conventional TVs,” said Jongsuk Choo, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We plan to expand content for Ambient Mode by collaborating with young, talented artists over the next several years to give our customers more meaningful ways to enjoy their QLED TVs.”
