Earlier this year, Google unveiled the latest, and most important, Android L update which will come with plethora of new features and visual changes. Google is yet to release information about what the version will be called, along with its release date, but it seems the update will hit devices by the end of the year.
According to a new report from SamMobile, a reliable source for anything Samsung-related, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 will get the latest Android L update by November/December time frame, citing their trusted insiders.
The latest Android L update will come with plethora of new features such as lock screen notifications, support for 64-bit processors, and a lot more. There’s no word about when Google will release the update, but it could come by next month or early November alongside a new Nexus smartphone, and possibly a tablet as well.
Before you get overexcited, these time frames could change since there’s no word from Samsung about it, even there’s no word from Google about its launch. And when it launches, Nexus devices will be the first ones to get the taste of it, followed by other devices. But, it seems Samsung is going to make sure its flagship devices receive the update as soon as possible.
We’ll update you if we get any other information.
