The Apple Watch will launch some time early next year, you will be able to use the device to make contactless payments with Apple’s new mobile payment system, which is called Apple Pay.
According to a recent report, Samsung has plans to launch a new Samsung Smartwatch with their own mobile payment system, and the device is said to come with a fingerprint sensor.
Samsung already has a number of smart watches on the market, and according to various report, Samsung have plans to team up with PayPal on the device.
PayPal have made a couple of digs at Apple when Apple Pay was announced, so it would make sense for PayPal to team up with Apple’s biggest competitor for a similar service.
PayPal also has everything in place to launch a new mobile payment system for wearable devices, so Samsung would be able to get this project off the ground quickly.
Exactly what Samsung and PayPal have planned remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a new device launch at around the same time as the Apple Watch.
