The new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch recently went up for pre-order in South Korea and it looks like the device was popular as all stock of the handset were sold out in just two hours.
It looks like Samsung only had 1,000 units of their Gear S2 smartwatch available to pre-order, which would explain why the device sold out so quickly, it launches in South Korea on the 2nd of October.
The new Samsung Gear S2 comes with Samsung’s Tizen OS and the device features a 1.2 inch round AMOLED display that has a resolution of 360 by 360 pixels.
Samsung’s latest smartwatch also comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of included storage, the device is powered by a dual core processor with a clock speed of 1GHz.
It is designed to be both waterproof and dust proof and it comes with NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi and features a 250 mAh battery. The new smartwatch will work with a wide range of Android smartphones, not just Samsung’s ones and Samsung are apparently thinking about making it compatible with the iPhone as well.
