The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be made official on Monday. We have already seen a number of photos of the device, and now we have another one.
The latest press shot of the handset is from Evan Blass, and it shows Samsung’s new smartwatch from every angle.
Features and Specifications
The device is rumored to come with an ECG feature like the Apple Watch, which could be a significant addition for health-conscious users. The ECG feature allows users to monitor their heart rhythms and detect irregularities, potentially alerting them to serious health issues before they become critical. This feature has been a major selling point for the Apple Watch, and its inclusion in the Galaxy Watch Active 2 could make it a strong competitor in the smartwatch market.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The 40mm model will have a 1.2-inch display, while the 44mm model will feature a 1.4-inch display. Both devices will be powered by an Exynos 9110 processor, ensuring smooth performance and efficient power usage. Additionally, they will come with 4GB of storage and Bluetooth 5, which offers improved connectivity and range compared to previous versions.
The 40mm model will have 768MB of RAM, while the 44mm model will come with 1.5GB of RAM. This difference in RAM could translate to slightly better performance in the larger model, particularly for more demanding applications and multitasking.
Design and Customization
The new smartwatch will come in a choice of colors, including black, silver, and gold. This variety allows users to choose a watch that best fits their personal style. The design of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is sleek and modern, with a focus on both aesthetics and functionality. The watch is expected to feature a touch-sensitive bezel, which will make navigation more intuitive and user-friendly.
In addition to the color options, Samsung is likely to offer a range of watch bands, allowing users to further customize their device. This level of personalization is important for many consumers, as it allows them to make the watch their own and ensure it fits seamlessly into their daily lives.
Health and Fitness Tracking
Beyond the ECG feature, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is expected to include a comprehensive suite of health and fitness tracking capabilities. These may include heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and various exercise modes. The watch is also likely to be water-resistant, making it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities.
Samsung has been steadily improving its health and fitness tracking features in recent years, and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is expected to continue this trend. The inclusion of advanced sensors and algorithms will help users gain deeper insights into their health and fitness, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their lifestyle and well-being.
Connectivity and Smart Features
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will support Bluetooth 5, which offers faster data transfer speeds and a more stable connection. This will be particularly beneficial for users who frequently sync their watch with their smartphone or other devices. The watch is also expected to support Wi-Fi and possibly LTE, allowing for greater independence from the smartphone.
Smart features such as notifications, music control, and voice assistants are likely to be included, making the Galaxy Watch Active 2 a versatile and convenient device for everyday use. Samsung’s Tizen operating system, which powers the watch, is known for its smooth performance and user-friendly interface.
We will have full details about the new Samsung smartwatch when it is made official next Monday, the 5th of August.
