The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is coming at Mobile World Congress and now it looks like we may also see a new tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S3 at MWC last year and now the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has recently appeared in the GFXBench benchmarks.
Specifications and Features
The tablet will come with a 10.5 inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, offering a crisp and vibrant viewing experience. This high-resolution display is ideal for watching movies, playing games, and browsing the web. It will feature an octa-core processor from Qualcomm, probably the Snapdragon 835, which is known for its powerful performance and efficiency. The Snapdragon 835 is built on a 10nm process, making it both powerful and energy-efficient. It will also come with an Adreno 540 GPU, which should provide excellent graphics performance for gaming and other graphics-intensive applications.
The tablet is listed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which should be sufficient for most users. However, it is likely that the device will also support expandable storage via a microSD card, allowing users to add additional storage as needed. The Galaxy Tab S4 will feature front and rear cameras, making it suitable for video calls, photography, and more. On the front of the device, there will be an 8-megapixel camera, which should be more than adequate for selfies and video chats. On the back, there will be a 12-megapixel camera, which should be capable of taking high-quality photos and videos.
Software and Additional Features
The Galaxy Tab S4 will come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Android 8.0 Oreo brings a host of new features and improvements, including picture-in-picture mode, notification dots, and improved battery life. Additionally, Samsung is known for adding its own custom features and enhancements to its devices, so we can expect the Galaxy Tab S4 to come with some unique Samsung software features as well.
One of the key features of the Galaxy Tab S4 is likely to be its support for Samsung DeX. Samsung DeX allows users to connect their tablet to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, effectively turning it into a desktop computer. This can be incredibly useful for productivity tasks, such as editing documents, browsing the web, and more. With DeX, the Galaxy Tab S4 could be a versatile device that can serve as both a tablet and a desktop computer.
We will have more details on the new Galaxy Tab S4, including some pictures of the device at MWC 2018 later this month. Samsung is holding their Mobile World Congress press conference on Sunday the 25th of February. It will be interesting to see what other features and improvements Samsung has in store for the Galaxy Tab S4.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 looks to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S3. With its high-resolution display, powerful processor, and versatile features, it could be one of the best tablets on the market. Stay tuned for more information and updates as we get closer to the official announcement at MWC 2018.
