The Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus were made official at Mobile World Congress on Sunday, the device is launching in some countries on the 16th of March.
According to a recent report, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be made official in India at a press event on the 6th of March. This will apparently not be the actual launch date of the handsets.
Specifications and Features
As a reminder, the Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch display with a QHD+ resolution and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or a Samsung Exynos 9810 depending on the region. The handset also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of included storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy S9 features a Super Speed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus (AF) and optical image stabilization (OIS). On the front of the handset, there is an 8-megapixel camera designed for selfies and video calls. The device is equipped with a 3000 mAh battery, which supports fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
The Galaxy S9 Plus, on the other hand, boasts a larger 6.2-inch display with the same QHD+ resolution. Launch and Availability
This would mean that Samsung would start taking pre-orders for the new Galaxy smartphones and launch the two devices in India before the end of March. The pre-order period is expected to generate significant interest, given the popularity of the Galaxy S series in the Indian market.
