We have heard a couple of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones. We know that Samsung plans to release two handsets next year like the S8 and S8 Plus that launched this year.
According to a recent report, the new Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones will be the first handsets to use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
Samsung will apparently have an initial exclusivity period for the processor before other manufacturers get their hands on it. This is something that happened this year, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were the first handsets to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Samsung are apparently working with Qualcomm on developing this years processor.
As yet there are no details or specifications on this years Snapdragon 845, although the processor is expected to come with a significant performance gain over the current Snapdragon 835.
There is the possibility that Samsung will also launch another version of the Samsung Galaxy S9 with a Samsung Exynos processor. This is something that they did with this years S8 smartphones, which is available with different processors in different countries.
Samsung are expected to launch their new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones some time in quarter one of 2018. As soon as we get some more details about the handsets, we will let you guys know.
