Yesterday Samsung confirmed that their Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphone would be made official at Mobile World Congress next month. MWC 2018 takes place between the 26th of February and the 1st of March.
Samsung are excepted to release their new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus handsets some time in early March, we do not have an exact release date as yet.
As a reminder the the two handsets are expected to have a similar design and similar size displays to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The devices will come with different processors in different countries, this will include the new Samsung Exynos 9810 and the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
The handsets are expected to come wi9th 6GB of RAM as standard and a choice of storage options from 64GB up to 512GB. The handsets will also come with a new Iris scanner and improved facial recognition. Samsung is also expected to include a fingerprint scanner on the two handsets.
The devices will have different camera setups, the Galaxy S9 will apparently come with a single 12 megapixel camera and the S9 Plus with dual 12 megapixel cameras. The handsets are expected to come with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, Android Oreo.
