Samsung was expected to announce their new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge smartphones at Mobile World Congress in February 2017 but now it would appear that the device is delayed.
Samsung is in the process of finding out what caused its Galaxy Note 7 handsets to catch fire and the company is apparently delaying the launch of the new Galaxy S8.
According to the WSJ Samsung is delaying the development of the Galaxy S8 by two weeks as it works on the Note 7 issue.
This could end up delaying the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge and it may not be ready in time for Mobile World Congress.
Obviously Samsung want to ensure that the launch of their new Galaxy S8 goes smoothly and there are no issues like there were with the Note 7.
