We have heard lots of rumors about the new Galaxy S7 range of smartphones and now we have some details on the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date.
According to Evan Blass, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will launch in the US on Friday the 7th of March 2016, we presume the date will be similar for other countries.
There are three rumored versions of the Galaxy S7, the S7 and S7 Edge which are said to come with a 5.1 inch display with a QHD resolution and a Galaxy S7 Edge+ which is rumored to come with a 5.7 inch display with either a QHD resolution or an Ultra HD 4K resolution.
There will be two processor options for the handset, one is Samsung’s own Exynos 8990 processor, the other is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, processors will vary by region and both models will come with 4GB of RAM.
The new Samsung Galaxy S7 handsets will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will feature dual cameras. On the front of the handset there will be a 5 megapixel camera for Selfies and video calls.
On the back of the S7 handsets will be a new 12 megapixel camera, this is less megapixels than the Galaxy S6, but it will use Samsung’s new BRITECELL image sensor which is said to give significant improvements to both photos and videos over the S6.
The design of the handsets is rumored to be similar to that of the current S6 range and storage options are said to be 32GB and 64GB, the one thing we are not sure about is whether Samsung will add in a microSD card slot to this years model.
If the March release date for the new Galaxy S7 handset is correct, then we can expect Samsung to announce their new smartphones at Mobile World Congress next month.
