Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is already receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in South Korea and Poland, and it seems the update is showing up in more regions.
Recently, the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy Note 4 (model number SM-910F) in Germany started getting Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, the update is currently available through Kies, but it shouldn’t take too much time for the update to land over-the-air (OTA) in the region.
It’s not just the Galaxy Note 4, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is also rolling out for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Note 3 with a model number SM-9005 in several regions across the globe. It seems Samsung is trying to make sure its handsets are updated to the latest operating system. Reports even suggest the Korean OEM is even working on the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note II which is almost two years old.
At the moment, several Samsung devices have already received the latest Android update including the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4.
Android 5.0 Lollipop comes with plethora of improvements and new features, as well as visual changes compared to the previous Android 4.4 KitKat, such as Material design, lockscreen improvements, updated multitasking interface, performance improvements, and more.
Do note the update may not show up right away on your handset as the process is gradual, and it may take a few days for the roll out to complete. Let us know if you’ve received it on your Samsung handset.
