Over the weekend, we heard that Android 4.4 KitKat for Bell Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will roll out from Monday, that is, today in Canada.
Now, several reports from Canadian shores suggest that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Bell, Rogers, TELUS, and WIND Mobile are getting the chocolaty taste of Android 4.4 KitKat.
Sized at 437.05MB, the update is rolling out for the above-mentioned carriers as we speak, and should reach all the devices in the coming days, so it’s recommended to connect your device to a WiFi connection before you start downloading.
Well, do keep in mind that it’s not necessary for every Galaxy Note 3 owner out in Canada to get the update on the first day, it can take a few days as the process is gradual, and usually completes within a few days after the roll out begins. If you’re impatient, you can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings >> About Phone >> Software update.
There’s no complete change log available, but it should bring the same improvements and features, including restyled white status bar icons, improved messaging capabilities with the ability to select Hangouts as the default messaging app, cloud print support, and several other features.
Let us know if you received the update, along with your thoughts about the performance of the device on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.
