Samsung announced its Samsung Galaxy Book Windows 10 tablets at Mobile World Congress earlier in the year and the devices are now available to pre-order in the UK.
Samsung is now taking pre-orders on the Samsung Galaxy Book direct on their website and there are two versions available, a 10.6 inch model and a 12.0 inch model.
Specifications and Features
The 10.6 inch model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and prices start at £649. This model is designed for users who need a portable device for everyday tasks such as browsing the web, checking emails, and using Microsoft Office applications. It features a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels, which ensures clear and vibrant visuals. The device is powered by an Intel Core m3 processor, which provides a balance between performance and energy efficiency.
The 12 inch tablet, on the other hand, is aimed at users who require more power and storage. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and prices start at £1,099. This model features a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, offering deeper blacks and more vivid colors. It is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, making it suitable for more demanding tasks such as photo editing, video streaming, and multitasking.
Additional Features and Accessories
Both models of the Samsung Galaxy Book come with a range of additional features and accessories that enhance their functionality. One of the standout features is the inclusion of the S Pen, which is a stylus that allows for precise input and is ideal for note-taking, drawing, and other creative tasks. The S Pen does not require charging, making it a convenient tool for users on the go.
The tablets also come with a detachable keyboard that doubles as a protective cover. This keyboard is backlit, making it easy to type in low-light conditions, and it attaches magnetically to the tablet for a secure fit. The keyboard also includes a touchpad, providing a laptop-like experience.
Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy Book include USB Type-C ports, which allow for fast data transfer and charging. The devices also support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, ensuring that users can stay connected wherever they are. Additionally, the tablets come with a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand the storage capacity if needed.
