Apple’s current range of iPhones and iPads come with the Apple A8 and Apple A8X processors, the next generation devices will use the new Apple A9 processor range.
We recently heard that Samsung had struck a deal to produce the Apple A9 processor for Apple along with TSMC, and that the two companies would share 50 percent of the production.
Now according to a recent report, Samsung may end up producing more of Apple’s new A9 processor, and could end up with around 75 percent of the production.Samsung will apparently produce these processors at their plant in Austin, Texas for Apple.
The new Apple A9 processor is expected to be used in the 2015 iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus handsets which will launch later in the year.
Where this will leave TSMC remains to be seen, the company has produced more than 25 percent of Apple’s processors in the past.
