If you think the currently available smartwatches unveiled by Google, Pebble, Samsung and others, offer too small a watch face for your needs.
You might be interested in a new smartwatch wrist communicator called the Rufus Cuff which sports a 3 inch touchscreen and resembles a small smartphone strapped to your wrist, offering similar functionality to a smartphone.
The Rufus Cuff is currently over on the Indiegogo website looking to raise $250,000 to make the jump from concept to production and is fitted with a built-in speaker, microphone, and camera.
The Rufus Cuff uses Android as its choice of operating system and allows you to install applications from the Google Play store as well as built-in voice support similar to that provided by Google Now and Apple’s Siri personal assistant. It creators explain:
“The Rufus Cuff is an advanced wearable device with a revolutionary new take on wrist real estate. With a beautiful 3-inch wide screen, radical design, and reimagined form factor, the Rufus Cuff ends the era of the watch and ushers in the Wrist Communicator. Everyone at Team Rufus worked hard on making this video (shot all on the iPhone 5S) to showcase something we’ve been working on for over a year.”
