Pretty much ever since the Roku streaming boxes landed, if you wanted one you had to order the thing online and wait for it to get to your house. If you prefer to go to a real store and walk out with your gadget you were out of luck. Roku has announced new retail channels for its streaming XD player.
The device will be offered in Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Fry’s Electronics, and RadioShack for $79.99 as of now. These are some of the more popular streaming boxes on the market for getting web content to your TV in the living room.
The Roku player can stream Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Crackle among others. It also gives the user access to all sorts of audio streaming like Pandora, MOG, and lots more. You can even get Facebook and Flickr on it.
