Storage and hardware manufacturer QNAP has this week made available their new pro surveillance platform in the form of the QNAP QVR Pro which is now available to download. Providing an open surveillance platform for professional NVR solutions using network attached storage (NAS) offering a professional solution for industrial applications.
QVR Pro has been designed to enable users to create independent and “expandable surveillance environments” using network attached storage to store recordings. Using the QVR Pro API users can create their solutions that integrate QVR Pro’s resources within their applications to build custom, reliable surveillance solutions. The API can connect QVR Pro with a wide range of currently available Internet of Things applications, enabling them to be shared quickly and make the surveillance system even smarter.
Previously there were no dedicated storage solutions for surveillance recordings, making the system performance limited and unsuitable for professional surveillance systems says QNAP. With the use of the QVR Pro surveillance application users can create dedicated storage spaces to ensure that recordings and system performance are capable of handling professional requirements.
