Sony launched their new next-generation PlayStation 4 games console last week, and the company has already announced within the first 24 hours alone after launch they had already sold over 1 million consoles to gamers in the US.
However as with any new hardware launch whether it’s a smartphone, tablet or games console there are always a few hardware issues that rear their ugly head.
A number of new PlayStation 4 owners have reported that their new PlayStation 4 hardware has arrived either bricked or is suffering from a blinking blue light on the PlayStation 4 front panel.
In reference to the PlayStation 4 blinking blue light issue, Sony has now opened an official support thread on the Sony forums offering support and advice for gamers who have experienced this issue. Unfortunately though the new Sony post lists the “blue indicator light blinking,” “no video/audio output to television” and “console powering off after blinking blue” issue as potential symptoms, but does not point to single cause.
Sony suggests that the issues being experienced with the new PlayStation 4 may be due to TV compatibility, PS4 power supply, hard drive or “other PS4 hardware.” Leaving the door wide open for a specific cause or solution at the present time.
