Pioneer has rolled out a new piece of hardware for the DJ out there. The device is called the Remix-Station 500 and it is designed to enhanced DJ performance with the ability to generate a range of sound effects with a variety of different buttons and controls. The device has three effect selections including Rhythm FX, Scene FX, and Release FX.
The device also has the first pressure control knobs in the industry that allows the user to alter and vary the effects. Pioneer also says that the device can act as a USB controller for use with the VST/AU/RTAS RMX-500 Plug-in software. The Rhythm FX section has five audio effects including Roll, Trans, Add, Rev, Delay, and Offset. This section also has five instrument buttons with kick, snare, clap, hi hat, and cymbal.
The Scene FX section offers five build up and break down effects. It has a large knob to increase or decrease the parameters and chosen effects. The final section is the Release FX that offers a button that eliminates the current music playing and leaves the sound effects in place. It can also be used to create an opposite effect that removes all effects while the original music plays. The Remix-Station 500 will launch in February for $499.
