“Any orders that have not already been dispatched will be cancelled and any payments refunded to customers. Phones 4u apologise for any inconvenience.”
Anyone who pre-ordered an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus from Phones 4U will need to place their order again, the company will be refunding all orders that have been placed and not dispatched to their customers.
The companies website now shows a message explaining why the have closed, you can see the statement from Phones 4U below.
Following the unexpected decision of EE and Vodafone to withdraw supply from Phones4U , we regret that we are offline. Please accept our apologies and we will update you as soon as possible.
This really is sad news, as Phones 4U was profitable company which has over 5,600 staff, who will probably all now lose their jobs, because Vodafone and EE decided they didn’t need the retailer any more.
