AT&T has announced that two of its devices are getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, the Pantech Element, which is a tablet and the Pantech Burst smartphone.
The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update should now be available for both devices, and it brings a range of new features to the Element tablet and the Burst smartphone.
Android 4.0 makes your devices easier to use and more powerful than ever. The many new features of this update include a new browser with improved page loading, tabbed browsing, offline reading and desktop mode. The new lock screen provides shortcuts to the camera, text messaging, phone dialer and home screen. You can also create home screen folders just by dragging one app icon onto another, and swipe away notifications bar.
With this update, Pantech Element customers will have resizable widgets and an updated Setup Wizard with additional training information. Android 4.0 will provide support for Burst users with Native Sync for AT&T Address Book, as well as expanded camera options such as Self-Mode and Panorama Capture. Also featured is the new Recent Apps button, which lets users move directly from one task to another using the list in the System Bar.
You can find out more details on what new features will be available in both devices with the Android 4.0 ICS update over at AT&T.
