Back in December the FAA launched their new drone registration program, which meant that anyone using a drone in the US would have to register with the FAA.
Since then over 180,000 people have registered with the FAA, who announced at CES that they have had a total of 181,061 people register as drone owners.
If you own a drone in the US, you have until the 20th of January to register your device for free, after that date there will be a $5 fee.
If someone is caught flying a drone without registering it they could face a fine of up to $27,500, you can find out more details over at their website at the link below.
