It has been announced by Nike this week that they will be rolling out new features to their original Nike Fuelband fitness tracker when they launch their new version next week on November 6th.
Nike announced that they would be launched a newly updated version of their Nike Fuelband in the form of the Nike Fuelband SE earlier this month, but its nice to hear that they have not just left the older and original Nike Fuelband tracker for dead.
Stefan Olander, vice-president of Digital Sport at Nike explained : “Original Nike Fuelband gets all the new features where possible,” but with the older version lacking the Bluetooth LE connectivity some features are just impossible to roll back to the original Nike Fuelband.
Some of the features you can expect to roll out to the original Nike Fuelband are enhanced tracking algorithms, and the new double tap feature to tell the time, which will be a great addition. As scrolling through the different sections to get to the time has always been a pain.
Other new features will include Sessions, which has been created to provide users with a per minute readout of the Fuel they are generating during exercise. Nike will be rolling out the new update on November 6th, all you will need to do is install the firmware via the Nike Fuelband dock that links to your computer. Enjoy!
