Oppo has been teasing the Oppo R1 for some time, and we even managed to see the handset in images as well.
If you have been patiently waiting for the handset to hit the shelves, you’ll be glad to know that its now official. Oppo R1 packs a 5-inch IPS display boasting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 processor and 1GB of RAM.
The handset measures 142.7 x 70.4 x 7.1 mm and weighs only 140 grams. On the rear, Oppo R1 features an 8MP camera with f2.0 aperture for capturing photos andvideos, along with a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls.
Other features include 16GB internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, TD-SCDMA/GSM connectivity and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean-based Color OS out of the box. It’s disappointing to see that the handset doesn’t come with an option to expand the memory via microSD card slot.
Oppo R1 is available for sale and can be ordered from the Oppo Online Store and costs 2,498 Yuan (almost equals $410). Unfortunately, there’s no word about the global availability of the handset as of now.
