Business Insider has been at this weeks Facebook’s F8 conference and during the event an Oculus spokesperson explained that the Management at Oculus VR, will be “disappointed” if it doesn’t have a headset available for consumers to purchase by 2016.
So if you are considering purchasing one of the new Oculus Rift virtual reality headsets created by Oculus VR and which was purchased earlier this year by Facebook for $2 billion. Now would be a good time to add the Oculus Rift to your 2015 holiday gift list.
Unfortunately no information on pricing has been announced as yet to what consumer Oculus Rift headset might cost, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
Oculus VR is also working on a new device revealed Andreessen Horowitz partner Chris Dixon, an investor in Oculus VR that is connected to a room full of server and is capable of creating a very realistic virtual environment for user to enjoy.
“Crystal Cove is 50 per cent of what they are running in LA You go into a room. It’s a special room. Fancier headset”…”In user testing it gets to a level of realism where almost all people feel that it’s realistic”…”Imagine everything you can see now, but it’s a little bit pixelated. Eventually that pixelation will go away.”
